Hi, I'm Claire Nyrose
I’m a counsellor practicing on Sinixt territory (Rossland, BC). I use she/her pronouns and work from a relational, client-led lens. I feel immense gratitude for this practice and aim to approach my work through decolonizing, social justice, and feminist frameworks.
I have experience supporting people navigating disordered eating and body image concerns. My approach is grounded in harm reduction, recognizing that healing is unique to each person. I aim to support and empower individuals in fostering stronger relationships with themselves through curiosity, self-compassion, and embodiment practices.
Background and Education
I come from a non-profit background with experience in substance use, harm reduction, housing, and public health. I am deeply committed to reducing barriers to mental health support and understanding how systems shape individual and community well-being. I have had the privilege of volunteering with the Vancouver Crisis Centre and the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre, and I am also a long-time volunteer with the Looking Glass Foundation.

Who's that in the background?
In case we are ever in a virtual session and you think to yourself "who is barking?" it is probably Finnegan making sure that the neighbourhood is safe from bears and strangers alike. Finn has been alongside me in every virtual training, has volunteered with me, and keeps me company on the good days and the bad.
